StormKeeper™ Stormwater Chambers
Engineered with sophisticated Finite Element Analysis (CANDE) techniques and the most advanced modeling and manufacturing techniques available, Lane’s new StormKeeper™ chambers provide a lightweight product with superior structural and hydraulic performance.
Keeping with the Lane commitment of designing and manufacturing highly-engineered, quality products, the SK180 and SK75 StormKeeper chambers exceed ASTM F2418. Using Virgin Polypropylene, the chambers are injection-molded for uniform, precise material placement which provides an extreme level of structural integrity and arch stiffness. This process also ensures the chambers have tight tolerances and exceed the AASHTO Structural Design Requirements.
StormKeeper chambers are designed primarily for use beneath paved areas to provide underground storage of stormwater runoff and maximize the usage of expensive real estate. However, they can also be utilized in green space, residential areas and other multi-use areas to provide more efficient land use meeting Low Impact Development ideas, and provide greater publically useable land. The StormKeeper chambers provide ultimate flexibility to the engineer designing a retention or detention system. With a minimum burial depth of 24” for traffic loading to a maximum burial depth of eight feet, StormKeeper chambers provide the ability to meet almost all site elevation constraints. In addition, rows can be terminated and restarted with the simple installation of end caps.
Lane pipe products and StormKeeper™ chambers can be easily modeled with the HydroCAD Stormwater Modeling System, allowing simplified calculation of the chamber's storage and infiltration behavior. The HydroCAD Chamber Wizard also performs automated chamber system layout, and simplifies the process of designing a chamber system meeting specific storage and footprint requirements.
