Our Story Begins in 1934
What began with a single vision has grown into a coast-to-coast force in water infrastructure, stormwater systems, and drainage innovation.
Over the decades, Lane has endured and expanded—through wars, recessions, and industry shifts—without losing sight of what matters: quality products, responsive service, and strong relationships.
Today, Lane is the nation’s largest producer of both metal and plastic drainage products, with over 20 facilities across the U.S. In addition to our expansive network of pipe producing and fabricating locations, we have nationwide Powder Coating capabilities at our Carlisle, PA facility that has been servicing the industry since 1979. Thanks to our employee-owned structure (ESOP), every team member takes ownership of your project—from design to delivery.

The Founding Era
Lane Metal Products Founded
Ray Lane established Lane Metal Products, beginning a legacy in corrugated metal pipe manufacturing that would span nine decades and grow into the nation's largest producer of drainage solutions.

Lane expanded southward with a new facility in Bealeton, VA, establishing a key production hub serving Mid-Atlantic markets and laying the groundwork for broader regional coverage.

Juniata Culvert Added
The addition of the Juniata Culvert operation in Bedford, PA strengthened Lane's presence in the Pennsylvania market and expanded corrugated metal pipe capacity to serve growing infrastructure demands.

A full-service coatings facility was added in Carlisle, PA, providing hot-dip galvanizing and polymer coating services to enhance the corrosion resistance and longevity of Lane's steel products.

A second corrugating mill was added in Bedford, doubling the site's production capacity and ensuring Lane could meet rising demand for corrugated steel pipe used in buried drainage structures across the region.

Lane acquired the Statesville corrugated steel pipe plant from Wheeling Corrugating and added a second mill in Dublin, VA — extending its manufacturing network further into the Southeast United States.

Lane Enters Texas Market
Lane's first facility outside the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions opened in Temple, TX — a major milestone marking the company's expansion into the rapidly growing Texas construction market after more than 80 years of East Coast operations.

Pacific Corrugated Pipe Company Acquired
Lane acquired Pacific Corrugated Pipe Company, adding five West Coast facilities in Casa Grande, AZ; Fontana, CA; Eugene, OR; Hubbard, OR; and Sacramento, CA — creating one of the largest American manufacturers of both metal and plastic stormwater pipe.

The Wytheville facility was expanded and Lane launched PRO 100™ — a premium corrugated polypropylene pipe engineered with 100% virgin resin for a minimum 100-year service life, meeting AASHTO M330 standards.

Longview Plant & DeepCorr® Launch
Lane opened a new plastic pipe plant and distribution yard in Longview, WA to serve the Pacific Northwest. Simultaneously, DeepCorr® structural plate launched — enabling 40–80 foot longer bridge spans to compete with conventional steel and concrete beam designs.

Alachua, FL Plant & Full Brand Unification
A new $30M plastic pipe plant opened in Alachua, FL, adding vital Southeast capacity. Effective January 1, 2026, Pacific Corrugated Pipe is fully unified under Lane Enterprises, LLC — completing the coast-to-coast integration and establishing Lane as the nation's largest manufacturer of both metal and plastic drainage products.
