Building America's InfrastructureFor 90 Years
From a single corrugated metal pipe shop in Bath, New York to the nation's largest manufacturer of drainage solutions — coast to coast.
The Founding Era
Ray Lane established Lane Metal Products, beginning a legacy in corrugated metal pipe manufacturing that would span nine decades and grow into the nation's largest producer of drainage solutions.
Founding
Lane expanded southward with a new facility in Bealeton, VA, establishing a key production hub serving Mid-Atlantic markets and laying the groundwork for broader regional coverage.
ExpansionThe addition of the Juniata Culvert operation in Bedford, PA strengthened Lane's presence in the Pennsylvania market and expanded corrugated metal pipe capacity to serve growing infrastructure demands.
ExpansionGrowth & Diversification
Lane opened two plants simultaneously, expanding its manufacturing footprint significantly across the Northeast and strengthening its ability to serve major metropolitan construction markets.
ExpansionA new corrugated steel pipe manufacturing plant in Dublin, VA gave Lane a strong position in the southern Virginia market, further building out its East Coast corridor of facilities.
Expansion
Lane entered the structural plate market, manufacturing corrugated steel structural plate for bridge and culvert applications — a product line that would become central to the company's identity in buried infrastructure.
Product Launch
A full-service coatings facility was added in Carlisle, PA, providing hot-dip galvanizing and polymer coating services to enhance the corrosion resistance and longevity of Lane's steel products.
Expansion
A second corrugating mill was added in Bedford, doubling the site's production capacity and ensuring Lane could meet rising demand for corrugated steel pipe used in buried drainage structures across the region.
Expansion
Expanding the New York facility with an additional corrugating mill reinforced Lane's stormwater conveyance manufacturing capacity in the Northeast corridor, a region with strong and growing infrastructure investment.
Expansion
Lane added welded wire mesh gabion and gabion mattress production at Pulaski — flexible, rock-filled modular systems used for earth retention and soil stabilization on construction projects.
Product LaunchInnovation & Technology
A pivotal moment — Lane entered the thermoplastic pipe market with its first HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) production plant, offering lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternatives to traditional metal pipe for stormwater applications.
MilestoneLane acquired the Statesville corrugated steel pipe plant from Wheeling Corrugating and added a second mill in Dublin, VA — extending its manufacturing network further into the Southeast United States.
Acquisition
Growing demand for plastic drainage products drove a major expansion of the Shippensburg facility, increasing HDPE pipe production capacity to meet the construction industry's shift toward underground stormwater management solutions.
Expansion
Lane added aluminum structural plate manufacturing at Pulaski, giving engineers and contractors a lighter-weight alternative to steel for bridge and culvert applications, with excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance.
Product Launch
A second dedicated HDPE production facility opened in Wytheville, VA, further solidifying Lane's growing position in the plastic drainage market and improving distribution across the Southeast.
Expansion
Lane launched the StormKeeper® family of stormwater chambers — an engineered underground storage solution that maximizes storage potential in a smaller footprint, ideal for commercial and residential development.
Product LaunchCoast-to-Coast Leadership
Lane's first facility outside the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions opened in Temple, TX — a major milestone marking the company's expansion into the rapidly growing Texas construction market after more than 80 years of East Coast operations.
Milestone
Lane acquired Pacific Corrugated Pipe Company, adding five West Coast facilities in Casa Grande, AZ; Fontana, CA; Eugene, OR; Hubbard, OR; and Sacramento, CA — creating one of the largest American manufacturers of both metal and plastic stormwater pipe.
Acquisition
The Wytheville facility was expanded and Lane launched PRO 100™ — a premium corrugated polypropylene pipe engineered with 100% virgin resin for a minimum 100-year service life, meeting AASHTO M330 standards.
Product Launch
Lane opened a new plastic pipe plant and distribution yard in Longview, WA to serve the Pacific Northwest. Simultaneously, DeepCorr® structural plate launched — enabling 40–80 foot longer bridge spans to compete with conventional steel and concrete beam designs.
Product Launch
A new $30M plastic pipe plant opened in Alachua, FL, adding vital Southeast capacity. Effective January 1, 2026, Pacific Corrugated Pipe is fully unified under Lane Enterprises, LLC — completing the coast-to-coast integration and establishing Lane as the nation's largest manufacturer of both metal and plastic drainage products.
