Our 65,000-square-foot Carlisle, Pennsylvania, facility is fully equipped to handle all types of metal fabrication powder coating projects. Lane Technical Coatings can accommodate parts up to 2 feet wide, 7 feet high, 125 feet long, and 9 tons of weight. Call us to discuss your needs for larger parts. Our fast turnaround times will allow you to keep your manufacturing and fabricating projects on schedule. You can also trust our more than 30 years of specialized experience – unlike many other metal finishing companies, powder coating is the sole focus of our business.

Coating Types

We offer multiple coating material options, including:

  • Epoxy powders: Epoxy powder coating is ideal for all types of metals for excellent corrosion and chemical resistance.
  • Polyester powders: Polyester powders are an excellent choice for structural coatings since they offer versatility, high protection levels against the elements and excellent ultraviolet (UV) resistance.
  • Zinc-rich powder coating primer and organic liquid zinc-rich primer: Zinc powder coat primers are ideal for precision applications and stand-alone or multilayer corrosion protection.

Part Size and Weights

Our spacious facility accommodates projects of all scopes and sizes, including:

  • Polyester coatings for parts up to 2 feet wide by 7 feet high by 125 feet long.
  • Epoxy coatings for components up to 2 feet wide by 7 feet high and 125 feet long.
  • Maximum part weights of 9 tons.

Call us to discuss your needs for larger parts.

Blast Cleaning

Blast cleaning helps provide an ideal surface for coating adhesion by removing residue from the manufacturing process. Lane Technical Coatings has three blast machines using steel grit capable of cleaning steel parts to a near-white finish. Our equipment meets or exceeds guidelines from the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) — SSPC 5, 7 and 10.

Quality Control

At Lane Technical Coatings, we’re committed to providing you with exceptional service and superior results. We conduct individual quality control testing and statistical process controls for each run to help exceed your expectations. We also have a full-service in-house testing laboratory with cathodic disbondment and impact resistance capabilities.

Shipping

Our facility lies in beautiful South Central Pennsylvania, within hours of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York City and Baltimore. As a result, we can accommodate both truck and rail shipments.

How Can Our Architectural Powder Coating Capabilities Benefit You?

Lane Coatings’ architectural powder coating capabilities offer numerous benefits.

Money Savings

Our architectural coatings provide a durable finish for your structure. Coatings for metal offer excellent resistance against rust and corrosion, which can lengthen the life span of the structure. That durability and longevity translate into savings since you will need less maintenance, repair and replacements.

Plus, unlike liquid paints, coating for metal does not require the application of multiple layers. That makes it a highly cost-effective finishing process.

Aesthetics

Powder coatings come in many colors, allowing you to select the look of the structure. Combine this with a wide variety of finishing materials and styles — textured, smooth, glossy, or matte — to achieve exactly the appearance and function you desire. Lane Technical Coatings can precisely match colors using Federal Color, Pantone, and RAL standards. Additionally, our durable powder-coated finishes help preserve curb appeal by keeping architectural structures looking their best for longer.

Environmental Friendliness

Our powder coating process does not use chemical solvents or release potentially harmful pollutants into the atmosphere. It also has low counts of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making it a safer and smarter choice for applications everywhere.

Fast Structural Coating Solution

Lane Technical Coatings can complete your powder coating job quickly, which is crucial for projects with tight deadlines. Whether you choose a zinc-rich primer, an organic zinc-rich primer, or any of our other powder coating types, the application time ranges from a few seconds to an hour, depending on the part size. The coated parts are ready for immediate shipment, and most projects can be finished within a week.
